November Challenge: Light

Dearest Joyn Community,

It’s been a whileeeee! October slipped past me as I started a very new job, and with that came a big learning curve. It’s been a season of expansion, of stretching into something new while trying to stay rooted in myself.

Maybe you’ve felt that too, that dance between growing outward and remembering to turn inward.

Now, with the clocks turned back and the daylight fading earlier each evening, the world is naturally slowing down. This shift always invites us to listen a little more closely, to tend to our inner light as the days grow shorter.

This month, I’m reminding myself (and you)that growth doesn’t always look like doing more. Sometimes it’s about coming home to the quiet moments. Lighting a candle, making tea, breathing deeply before bed, or simply noticing the way the late-afternoon sun filters through the trees.

Let your practice be your anchor this season. Move slowly. Breathe deeply. Trust that the light is still here, even when the days are short.

A belated birthday shoutout to the radiant Leah

If you’re lucky enough to know Leah, then you know she’s pure sunshine in human form. Her presence has a way of softening the edges of your day, inviting you to slow down while providing the comforting feeling of an old friend.

Leah’s wavy, thoughtful flows help you tune the world out and tune into how you truly feel. Somehow, she leaves you both calm and energized, grounded and uplifted all at once.

Leah, thank you for sharing your light so generously. You remind us that peace and vitality can coexist, and that our practice can be both gentle and strong, steady and free. We love you so much! Happy, happy birthday!

Your invitation this month:

Find one little way each day to bring light into your world. Maybe it’s dancing while you make coffee, lighting a candle while you journal, calling a friend who makes you laugh, or stepping outside just to feel the sun on your face.

Whatever it is, let it lift you even for a moment. Joy doesn’t need to be big or loud to make a difference. Sometimes it’s the smallest sparks that warm us the most.

With presence, gratitude, and deep breath energy,

Anna & the Joyn Family
